Position Summary:
Wendell Foster is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Medication Administration Trainer for our Direct Support Professionals and other non-licensed personnel. This individual will be responsible for providing training in safe and effective medication administration in accordance with DDID (Division of Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities) standards.

The selected candidate will be required to attend the DDID Medication Administration RN Direct Trainer Training on December 17, 2025, in Lexington, KY, to obtain certification as an RN Trainer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train non-licensed personnel in proper medication administration procedures, including oral and topical delivery methods.
  • Ensure trainees understand how to safely and accurately administer medications.
  • Educate trainees on intended medication effects, potential adverse side effects, and how to recognize and differentiate them.
  • Instruct staff on proper documentation and reporting of adverse effects and appropriate follow-up actions.
  • Evaluate and verify staff competency in all aspects of medication administration.

Qualifications:

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky.
  • Strong communication and training skills.
  • Experience in developmental disability or long-term care settings preferred.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Flexible PRN or Contract arrangement.
  • Compensation will be based on experience and agreed upon work structure.
