What matters to us:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in recruitment, training, education, volunteer management, or program management preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to represent Wendell Foster professionally in community, business, and social settings.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Valid driver's license, insurable driving record, and ability to travel locally as needed.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Essential Functions:
- Recruit, train, schedule, and support volunteers across all Wendell Foster programs, matching volunteers with meaningful opportunities and service recipients.
- Coordinate volunteer involvement for on-site church services and cultivate partnerships with local churches to support resident engagement.
- Develop and manage all aspects of the Intermediate Care Facility volunteer program, including one-on-one volunteer opportunities and community volunteer experiences for residents.
- Assist with recruiting and organizing volunteers for special events, fundraising activities, and community engagement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate volunteer records, databases, reports, and documentation while assisting with campus tours, presentations, and community outreach efforts.
